„The Makeover“
On 20 November 2024 about 140 HAK and HAS students went to the Stadttheater Hallein to watch “The Makeover”, a play written by Clive Duncan and performed by Schooltours (Vienna’s English Theatre).
Here is what some of the students (1BKN) wrote about it:
“’The Makeover’ is about a guy called Tom, his girlfriend Ali and his flatmate Harry who falls in love with a girl called Gina. The problem is that Harry is very lazy and not really attractive. Because of that Ali wants to redesign him to make Gina like him. The actors performed in a very realistic manner and some scenes were really funny.” (Max)
“The play ‘The Makeover’ was totally cool! There were four characters called Harry, Ali, Gina and Tom. Ali and Tom were a couple. But then Ali tried to give Harry a makeover which didn’t really work out. At the end Harry and Ali were together! My favourite actor was the one who played Harry because he was so confident. I really liked the show and would recommend it to everyone who hasn’t seen it yet.” (Anja F.)
“The play is about a slob who changes his life plan and his looks for his crush. The performance was spectacular. What I found especially good was the scene at the clothes store. As a viewer you could feel the emotions of the main character.” (Magdalena)
“The theatre performance was pretty fun! I think the actors did a great job because they were playing more than two roles each. For me, Harry was the best character as he was very self-confident and funny.” (Burak)
“I liked the theatre performance very much, it was interesting to see how much a person can change in a few days. The atmosphere at the ‘Stadttheater’ was nice and quiet. The actors played very well and made everything look real.” (Raphael)
