Wild Weekend

On Friday, 1 February 2019, almost 150 students of BHAK/BHAS Hallein went to the Stadttheater to watch a performance of the play Wild Weekend. The comedy was written by Clive Duncan and performed by four actors of the Vienna‘s English Theatre Schooltours group.

The play is about four teenagers from Clapham, London, who go camping in Wales. Everything goes wrong on their trip to the countryside: their matches get damp in the rain, they cannot eat their baked beans because they left the tin opener at home, and one of the boys hurts his ankle. Then they start fighting about who is the best leader.

In the end, they find out that the next farmhouse is not far away. They get some food and a tin opener from a helpful farmer and continue their adventure in the wilderness. The friends have learnt an important life lesson, namely that it is essential to take responsibility for yourself. And they have learnt that mushrooms do not come from supermarkets!!
